With a Heat Advisory still in place for today, we are CANCELLING today’s afternoon session at New Canaan Field Club. A Heat Advisory is not to be taken lightly, especially with our demographic. Such a warning is issued when the heat index vaue is expected to reach a minimum of 95 degrees or higher for two or more hours. With our afternoon session being at the center of that index period, we think it prudent that we abide by the warning and “avoid strenuous activity”. I realize that we have a number of warriors that may wish to challenge conventional wisdom but we prefer to heed the advice of the experts and play when weather conditions are more conducive to our group.
