The GOBs plan to hold a Summer Cocktail Party on Thursday, June 20th at Country Club of New Canaan (CCNC) from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. Please try to attend with your spouse/significant other and enjoy the evening with other GOBs members and their guests. Attire is casual (no jacket or tie required for the men).
Since we are trying to get our membership to make payments electronically, we are going to offer a two-tier payment system for this event to incent our members to pay by either Zelle or Venmo.
The cost for attending the event and paying electronically will be as follows:
Single–30 dollars
Couple–50 dollars
The cost for attending the event and paying by check will be as follows:
Single–40 dollars
Couple–70 dollars
The cost is for hors d’oeuvres, service charge, and taxes. The GOBs are subsidizing a portion of the cost per person being charged by CCNC for both payment types. There will also be a cash bar, at which you can use your Club’s member number. Optional dining will be available after the Cocktail Party for GOBs members who have made a reservation by June 18. Call CCNC’s main number to reserve at 203-966-5313. Anyone wishing to attend who has not paid is welcome. You will be asked to pay the 40/70 dollars charge at the Welcome Desk.
Payment instructions for Zelle, Venmo, and check are as follows:
Zelle Instructions
This electronic payment can be made from your computer by going to the online version of your bank’s checking account. Upon accessing your account, click on ‘Payments and Transfers’. (Note that you will have to enroll in Zelle, if you haven’t used it before.) Once on the Payments and Transfers screen, click on the ‘Send Money’ option. Input our Treasurer’s email address, which is rjconologue@yahoo.com and the amount. Then hit ‘Send’. The GOBs bank is Key Bank on Summer Street in Stamford, CT.
Venmo Instructions
This electronic payment method requires you to download the Venmo app onto your phone. Once you are able to access the app send the payment to @Robert-Conologue. If you are using this payment for the first time for the GOBs, it may ask for the last four digits of Bob Conologue’s phone number, which are 4126.
By Check
Make your check payable to ‘Robert J. Conologue’ and indicate the amount. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE CHECK OUT TO ‘GOBSs’, as our group is not an LLC and does not have a Tax ID number.
